During the finishing stage, natural oils and waxes are worked deep into the leather, enriching the fibres from within and giving the surface a slightly darker tone, soft sheen and smooth, conditioned feel. Light marks, scratches and folds can shift and blend over time, creating a pull-up effect where the colour subtly changes as the leather bends or stretches.
